Default Snow day projects and Friday nights.....

....tend to be pretty boring, try keep myself busy. Made a cart for the plasma and welder, and other suggestions for upgrades throw out before I paint! (though that's gonna be about 3 months at least before it thaws!)

Got around to combining the Hobart plasma and welder into one cart. All made from scrap I had lying around, except for the casters.

Paint will come this summer once I finalize additions/modifications after some use....

From this...

To this...

Anyone want to buy a welding cart?

Friend suggested this, so ....

I wired in a 220 male plug that serves both the welder and plasma....

Guts of a Hobart 625....

Originally wwnt with 10g for the plasma, but thought better as it came with 8g for the plug (though the manual says 10 for wiring). All mounted....

Wired up. 8g is a PITA to work with, but managed to stuff it into a box...

All hooked up...

b/c good is not "good enough"....updates.....

Got a suggestion to secure the tank better, here is the results. Used some eye bolts and shock absorber rubber stops. Also, rewired to a bigger box to make me feel better....
As always, I have a LONG time until painting season, so pass along all ideas....

Nice work, one upgrade I think it needs is a beer holder.

Update....

Did not like how the cords were stored, so improved.....

Also upgrade my Oxy cart. Guy before me had larger tanks, so I modded to fit smaller tanks better....
